fd2s Explores the (Near) Future of Wayfinding
The multi-disciplinary fd2s team of designers, writers, technologists, usability experts, architects, and project managers has recently used information and insight gathered during the firm’s 25-year history – along with its extensive knowledge of emerging technologies – to envision the future of wayfinding. The results of this exercise have been documented on a special web site, The (Near) Future of Wayfinding, located at www.thefutureofwayfinding.com.
The site walks visitors through a variety of wayfinding scenarios, each describing a series of interactions that utilize the most advanced available (or soon-to-be-available) technologies, all based on a deep understanding of how people navigate complex environments.
