fd2s Completing Graphics Program for New Lance Armstrong Foundation Headquarters

fd2s is nearing completion of the development of a graphics program for the new headquarters of the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

The new headquarters facility, located just down the street from the fd2s offices in East Austin, is a renovation of the 30,000-square-foot Gulf Paper warehouse. Designed by Lake | Flato Architects of San Antonio, the building will house foundation staff, and also support the survivorship mission by providing space for programs and activities.

The graphics being developed by fd2s will turn the building’s public spaces into a venue for conveying the mission, history, and achievements of the LAF and its many constituent groups, while also providing opportunities to recognize LAF donors. The graphics program has been designed to change with the organization, with both permanent elements and components that can be updated as the foundation’s mission evolves and new milestones are reached.

Along with this brand-building graphics program, fd2s is also developing the building’s wayfinding and identification signage elements, all designed to complement the unique architectural character developed by Lake | Flato.

“It’s a great honor to have the opportunity to work with an organization that has risen from very modest beginnings to change the lives of so many people,” said fd2s Principal Steve Stamper. “And we are also very supportive of the foundation’s decision to locate its new headquarters here in East Austin, which is a community that has long been under served in the areas of cancer prevention, treatment, and survivorship support.”
