fd2s Lands Two New Wayfinding Projects

fd2s has begun work on wayfinding assignments for El Centro Regional Medical Center in El Centro, California, and Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas.

At El Centro Regional Medical Center, fd2s is serving as the wayfinding consultant on the team, led by Childs Mascari Warner Architects, responsible for a major renovation and expansion of the medical center. fd2s staff will begin the project by visiting El Centro to evaluate the wayfinding challenges faced by patients and visitors at the hospital, and will create a strategy for addressing the wayfinding needs of both the new construction and existing facility areas. Future phases of the assignment will include design development, documentation, and contract administration services for all wayfinding signage components.

For Texas A&M International University, fd2s is working with PBS&J Architects to create a comprehensive long-term wayfinding plan for the existing university campus, and will also provide documentation and contract administration services required for the immediate implementation of this wayfinding plan at the school’s new $25 million Student Success Center.
