fd2s Developing Wayfinding for Prominent UT Building

The University of Texas at Austin has selected fd2s to develop a new system of wayfinding signage for its Main Building. This historic structure on the campus’s South Mall forms the base of the iconic University of Texas Tower, and serves as an important destination for many new and prospective students, as well as housing the offices of key University administrators.

fd2s will be deploying a modified version of the interior signage standards that it recently developed for the campus, enhancing the standard system to reflect the high-profile nature of the building, and also adding new wayfinding elements as required to address the unique wayfinding challenges presented by the facility’s multiple uses and complex layout.

The project is expected to be completed in time for the 2012 spring semester.
