San Angelo, Texas Change in University’s Affiliation Calls for Signage Retrofit

Angelo State University

fd2s, working within the framework of the campus master plan, developed an extensive system of exterior wayfinding signage to serve this 268-acre campus of 7,000 students and 300+ faculty members in West Texas. To reduce the overall cost of the program and remain consistent with the site materials palette, a number of existing brick structures were retrofitted for campus and building identification. Pedestrian signage is focused along a north-south pedestrian spine that serves the full length of the site.

The signage palette features the school’s distinct blue and gold colors to reinforce a sense of pride in the academic community and to coincide with the university’s entry into the Texas Tech University system.
