The University of Kansas Hospital
Wayfinding and donor graphics support the overall architecture of a prestigious medical campus.
The new Medical Office Building represents the latest in a dramatic redevelopment of the University of Kansas Hospital campus. As part of a series of initiatives, which include the design of donor and branding exhibits for the ongoing renovation of the Hospital’s main lobby, fd2s developed exterior and interior wayfinding and identification signage for this upscale, six-level facility with an adjoining two-level wing that houses orthopedics clinics.
The design vocabulary of the signage draws on conventions established by fd2s for earlier projects such as the hospital’s Center for Advanced Heart Care and Cancer Center. Colors will match the architectural palette of the new building.
