Austin, Texas Campus Standards Deployed in University’s Most Iconic Building

University of Texas Main Building

Referencing the signage standards that the firm developed for building interiors across the University of Texas at Austin campus, fd2s programmed, documented, and oversaw the implementation of interior wayfinding for the Main Building, which serves as the podium of the University’s iconic Tower.

The fd2s-developed standards allow for certain variations in color palette and sign profiles to respond to the campus’ disparate building interiors, and were tailored to the unique interior of this venerable building. The wayfinding helps to demystify eccentricities such as floors of the building (entries are at different levels) and which elevator bank serves them (one bank serves the Tower, the other the Main Building).
